What could God do in Austin through a movement of multiplying churches?

A single church can’t reach the almost 3 million people (about the population of Arkansas) far from Jesus in greater Austin. A single network of churches is also unable to complete the task. Therefore, we believe that God has called us to not only be about multiplying churches to reach every man, woman, and child in our region, but to be a help to churches that desire to be a part of a planting movement.

How do we help churches become, or be more effective, church planting churches?

Annual Conference: Our Plant in Austin, 1-day church planting conference gives prospective planters a deep dive into what it takes to plant a church. IN addition, we have a track for existing churches to get a better understanding of what it takes to transition to a multiplying or church or get better at it.


Resourcing with Best Practices: Reach out to us through our contact form with any questions or needs you have and someone from our network will follow up to get you what you need. Questions like:

    • How do I recruit a church planter?
    • How do I raise up a church planter from my church or staff team?
    • How do I prepare my elders, leaders, and church to plant?
    • How do I effectively assess a church planter?
    • How do we fund church planting?
    • How do we run a church planting residency?
    • How do we launch a church well?
    • What does ongoing coaching for a planter look like?


Monthly Equipping: The third Thursday every month (except July and December), our Association holds an 1.5 hour equipping to help churches, pastors, and their staffs gain clarity and traction with some pressing ministry need. We’ve tackled topics like those above, and issues around:

    • Pastoral mental health
    • HR related topics specific to running a church
    • Online ministry, web presence, and social media best practices
    • The future of the Church
    • Micro/House church models

Danny Box
HCBC PFLUGERVILLE

Danny served as a youth pastor in Conroe, Texas before attending Dallas Theological Seminary, graduating with a ThM in Old Testament in 1990. He also has a BS degree in advertising from the University of Texas. Danny joined the staff of HCBC Austin serving for 10 years first as Youth Pastor and later as Family Pastor in 1994, before planting HCBC Pflugerville in 2000. Danny and Kathy have three adult children and five grandchildren: Jake & Krista, Camp, Enock and Della Box, Ben & Jennifer, Deacon and Mary Beth Box, and Kaley & Sebastian Anzaldo.
